Northampton cyclist declared brain dead after Damon Road collision

NORTHAMPTON — A 46-year-old man from Northampton has been declared brain dead after he was struck by a motor vehicle while riding a bicycle on Damon Road Saturday evening, according to his brother. Devin Reade, originally from Shelburne, was transported to Baystate Medical Center for treatment after the crash, which occurred not far from the turnoff to the Northampton Industrial Park near the Interstate 91 overpass.
