South Hadley voters say no to $3.5 million override despite warnings of town cuts

SOUTH HADLEY — Voters on Tuesday rejected a $3.5 million Proposition 2½ override that would have fended off cuts to town departments and schools for the next two fiscal years, marking the second failed override this year. According to the unofficial results, 62% of the 6,166 voters, or 3,799 people, cast “no” votes.
