For older walkers, e-bikes on Eugene paths carry serious risks | Letter to the editor
I heartily agree with Lookout guest columnist Jim Arnold’s warning about pedestrians versus e-bikes and e-motos on local paths. I walk on the riverbank path frequently, often near Delta Ponds, and feel the same terror about getting hurt. The restrictions are ignored, and e-bikes and e-motorcycles whizz silently by me, often with inches to spare, several at speeds over 40 mph, with no warning at all.
