Monetize your audio content
Insert audio advertisements into your Everlit content with full control over ad types, placements, targeting, and creative management.
Overview
The Everlit Advertising System lets you monetize your audio content through direct sponsorships, standard ad campaigns, and programmatic ad networks. You have complete control over where ads appear, how often listeners hear them, and what creative content is delivered.
Campaigns
Organize ads by advertiser, promotion, or time period. Track impressions and engagement.
Ads
Configure ad types, delivery settings, placements, and targeting rules.
Contexts
Define where and how ads are delivered based on embed location, platform, or content type.
Creatives
Upload audio, use the AI Ad Builder, and configure companion images and logos.
How It Works
The advertising system is organized in a hierarchy. Understanding this structure helps you set up effective ad campaigns.
The Four Key Concepts
| Concept | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign | Groups related ads together for organization and reporting | "Acme Corp Q4 2024" or "Holiday Promotion" |
| Ad | Defines ad type, delivery settings, placements, and targeting | A sponsorship ad running preroll at 50% of impressions |
| Context | Controls delivery rules for specific scenarios | "Mobile App" context with max 30s ads, no midrolls |
| Creative | The actual audio content and visual assets | A 15-second audio spot with companion banner |
Typical Setup Flow
- Create a Campaign for your advertiser or promotion
- Add one or more Ads to the campaign with delivery settings
- Create Creatives with audio content for each ad
- Configure Contexts (optional) to customize delivery by platform or location
Ad Priority Order
When multiple ads could play in a given slot, the system uses priority order to determine which ad wins. Higher priority ads are always served before lower priority ads.
1. Sponsorship Ads
Highest Priority. Guaranteed percentage of impressions. Best for premium sponsors who need consistent presence.
2. Standard Ads
Second Priority. Guaranteed impression count. Best for campaigns with specific delivery goals.
3. Network Ads
Third Priority. Ads served via Google Ad Manager or other ad servers. Ideal for centralized ad trafficking or programmatic demand.
